Definition of some Keywords

Thread: A thread (sometimes called a topic) is a collection of posts. On FlyersCoupons.ca a thread usually refers to a new deal, coupon, etc. Every time you post about a new deal you create a new "thread" that allows other people to comment on that deal and add feedback.

Ads: This refers to the image and link advertisements that show on the website and generate money every time someone clicks on them.

Google Adsense: A Google advertising program that provides that allows websites to earn money by displaying targeted, unobtrusive Google ads on their websites.


How Does FlyersCoupons.ca Revenue Sharing Work?

Ads (Google Ads) are usually displayed on most pages of FlyersCoupons.ca. Members who contributed to that page can have THEIR Google Ads displayed (instead of the owner's Ads) and hence the contributors make money off of Ads displayed on FlyersCoupons.ca.

For instance let's say you go shopping at Best buy and came across a hot deal on a certain TV. You go to the Best Buy section on here and start a new thread mentioning the deal and all its details. This drives people to check out your thread. A percentage of the Google Ads that show on the thread (all pages of that thread) generate revenue for you and you get the money these ads make.


How will I get Paid?

While developing this program our top priority has been simplifying the payment process to ensure that everyone gets their payment monthly and can rely on turning this into a solid and reliable source of income. Experience has taught us that managing payments and money from our side always leads to problems. Therefore we have created the Revenue Sharing system in a way that allows you to get paid DIRECTLY from Google, not from us.

You will need to register for a Google Adsense account (registration is free). You will then provide us with your Google Adsense Publisher ID (which is public) and we will have your ads display on here directly. You will be able to track the amount of money you are making, the number of times your ads have been displayed, the number of clicks, etc. through Google Adsense. You will have full access and control over your Google Adsense account and we will not require any private data or any access at all to your account. We are running this program in accordance with Goolge's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. At the end of every month Google will send you a cheque or direct transfer.


I reply to threads but I don't start new threads, am I eligible?

Yes, if you reply to threads a percentage of the ads displayed will also be yours. The revenue sharing percentages will be split amongst thread starters (who post about new deals) and repliers who add more useful information, help others, etc.


What percentage of the ads displayed will be mine?

Generally speaking the ads displayed on a certain thread can belong to one of the following 3 groups:

• The thread starter (largest percentage).
• One of the people who replied in the thread.
• The Admin (Tammatha).

Thread starters however get a larger percentage because they made a major contribution.

Obviously a thread that you have not started nor posted in will not display your ads.


How much money will I make?

We really can't answer this question. Many factors are involved. If done properly this can end up generating an excellent stable income that can pay part or all of your rent or mortgage or even more. But it all depends on what you contribute and how frequently. See the next question for tips on increasing your revenue.


How can I increase my revenue?

Contribute Frequently
The more you contribute, the more deals, promos, offers and coupons you post, the more frequently your ads will get displayed and the more money you'll make.

Post Useful Content
In our experience this is a major major factor in driving traffic to your threads. The more useful your content the more people it will attract, the more ads you'll have displayed and the more money you will consequently make from Ads.

Make Your Titles Descriptive & Informative
The more descriptive your title are the more likely people will find your threads through Google Search. Include as many relevant keywords as you could in your title that you think people are likely to Google.

Dedicate Yourself to Maintaining a Store(s) that you know well
There are loads of stores listed on FlyersCoupons.ca. Say that you're a regular American Eagle customer, you know their products by heart, know when they have sales, and can distinguish their really good sales from the not so good ones. Dedicate yourself to maintaining American Eagle's section. Post about any sale they have, give your feedback on the sale based on your experience, help others on there and maybe start a few "Tip" threads with little secrets and shopping advice that you have acquired over time while shopping there. If you go shopping and find out they are having a an announced sale let others know. With time you'll be driving loads of traffic to your threads and making a good income out of the ads. There is no catch. We are getting a percentage of the ads too so the more active the website is and the more ads are displayed the more we make. We have learned that when you share back with the people contributing it encourages them to participate more. This makes the whole website more active leading to more revenue and everyone benefits.


I'm interested! How do I start?

Please follow the following steps carefully to join the FlyersCoupons.ca Revenue Sharing Program.

Step 1 - Become a FlyersCoupons.ca Member

If you are not a member on FlyersCoupons.ca yet you need to register. Click here to Register and become a FlyersCoupons.ca member. If you are already a member please jump to Step 2.

Step 2 - Register for a Google Adsense Account
If you already have an Adsense account please jump to Step 3.

Before you can sign up for a Google Adsense account you need to have a website or blog. If you don't have your own blog or website don't worry, you can easilystart one for free. Click here to go to Blogger and create a new blog. Once you have your new blog you'll need to blog post on there. After you have 5 blog posts you can use it to apply for Adsense.

Click here to Apply for a Google Adsense account. For "Website URL" enter YOUR website url, e.g. your blogger blog url NOT flyerscoupons.ca. It has to be a website that is yours. Make sure you fill out all the Google Adsense information out correctly because they will be sending you cheques for your earnings. The wrong address, means no cheques! Once you have completed signup it may take several days to receive your approval depending on how back logged Google is.

Step 3 - Setup your Ads
By this point you should have a Google Adsense account and are ready to participate in the FlyersCoupons.ca Revenue Sharing program. Please follow the instructions in this step very carefully.

1. Login to your Adsense Account.

2. Click on "AdSense Setup" tab on the top. This will take you to a new page.

3. Click on "Adsense for Content". This will take you to a new page.

4. Select "Ad unit" and change the drop down menu to say "Text ads only". Then click on "Continue". This will take you to a new page.

5. The options on this page should be setup as follows:

• Format: 300 x 250 Medium Rectangle
• Border: FFFFFF
• Title: 417394
• Background: FFFFFF
• Text: 4E4E4E
• URL: 4E4E4E
• Font Family:
• Font Size:
• Corner Styles: Square corners
• Alternate ads or colors: Fill space with a solid color and choose white for color FFFFFF

Click on Continue. This will take you to a new page.

6. Here you get to assign a Channel for your Ad. Click on "Add new channel" and give it the name "FC Text" and click on OK. Then click on "Continue". This will take you to a new page.

7. You do not need to do anything on this page. Click on "Submit and Get Code". This will take you to a new page.

8. Copy your AdSense unit code and send "Tammatha" a private message on here with your code. Click here to send Tammatha the private message. Make the title of your private message "Google Adsense" and paste the code into the body of the message.

9. Once we receive your code you will be enrolled in the program and further instructions will be sent to you if necessary.
